Very good podcast and am glad this is not one for paid subscribers only since it’s an endorsement for a good video game. I was going to buy Modern Warfare 3 because I had a feeling it was going to be good (it’s shit), and thanks to your review I will buy and play Robocop.
Joe Biden’s voice isn’t that pleasant to listen to so while it would be funny for a couple of episodes I’m not sure I’d enjoy listening to 20 episodes of Brandon. (Something to consider later).
I agree 100%, I recommended this to you on Twitter before you left and I'm glad you bought it. I was sold on it from the first time I played the demo and only impressed from there. My only complaint so far is the lack of side missions makes it difficult to rank up and be able to use your skills to figure out something as simple as a safe code.
Robocop is almost the perfect movie. It was much better than it ever had any right to be.
And the drug factory shoot out is the best action scene ever. It's perfectly shot, the geography of the location is perfectly laid out before and during the scene, no unnecessary cuts or camera movement, the emotional satisfaction watching Murphy avenge his own murder on this sadistic assholes. It's just great.
There is this one great shot, just after Murphy has delivered his "come quietly" ultimatum, as he's moving forward under fire. It's from behind, and Weller (Peter, the actor) twists his torso slightly. I don't know, maybe to present a smaller target or to place a certain part of himself out of LoS. It's a very martial arts thing, even though it's very slight It probably doesn't mean anything, but he's a robot so it means something in character and I just love watching that one little thing.
Managed to put my only 2 hours of video gaming this month into this based on your recommendation. Gotta say I'm very impressed. Graphics are good, particularly the robocop model, and the world is so perfectly 1980s Robocop. Gunplay is meh, but overall you get the feeling of a Deux Ex game set in the Robocop universe. Great recommendation.
MG calling it a "near perfect game" is probably enough of a red flag to avoid actually playing this.
I mean I watched some of it on youtube and I didn't feel like I was missing all that much, in fact I felt like I had a better experience since the actual gameplay looked like AIDS.
The 'Amra complex, long known to and used by local nomads, was rediscovered for the West by the Czech scholar Alois Musil in 1898. The frescos were painstakingly cleaned and preserved between 1971 and 1973 by a team from the Madrid National Archeological Museum, under the direction of Martin Almagro.

An almost perfect game for an almost perfect movie. This is the good stuff, there is a lot of subtle complexity as to why Robocop, the film, works so well, things like Verhoeven's talent, respect for the audience, respect for the subject matter, not taking itself TOO seriously while also not being a cheap comedy. The game is so clearly adapted with a lot of love, and I greatly appreciate the mechanics that add immersion, you really FEEL like Robocop in this game.
At last, coveted MG voice reveal for broke leeches like me. Not gonna lie, I didn't expect a female Asian influencer to have such a deep timbre.
Keep up the good work, wasn't sure about this game but am currently pirating it

Best of luck increasing sub count.
What are you talking about? That's his natural speaking voice.
Wait....that's not....is it??? Having horrible fits of anxiety from this seed of doubt. Have to lay down.
It’s like an old folks’ max headroom. It works!

The gameplay is very fun you should reconsider.
