Victory is really as simple as getting a bunch of men and ruthlessly punishing the ne'er-do-wells when they decide to interfere with normal life. You can deal with these people in a week with a little force. And that's what we're going do to free subscribers. Paid subscribers will meet them in the streets, and we're going to win. We're sending them all back, so paid subscribers can live in peace
A great representation (at least in first half of film) that shows the Ole Hanson method for dealing with riots and violent strikes is “Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade” (1999) (https://youtu.be/leTBtP_pUm0?feature=shared). Don’t bother with the live action remake as the original anime is best. I know it’s “muh anime” but truly it is a masterpiece with very prescient themes. The opening scene is by far the best, and you’ll get a lot out of it even in terms of psychology for a good man of the aftermath of violence. Great use of color and motifs as well.
Ole Hanson in his Preface: “They can't be bargained with, they can't be reasoned with. They don’t feel pity! Or remorse or fear and they absolutely will not stop!... ever... until you are dead!” (https://youtu.be/uSQt4ckq-dg?feature=shared). The ability to deputize in the event of social unrest is an under appreciated, lawful tool that must be used. Thanks for this insightful article! Imagine if just one mayor and sherft had done so in the summer of 2020! Thousands of new deputies who would stand to defend their own towns.
Glad to see a review of this book. I found it through your citation in the original Red Scare articles and finished it earlier this month. While I found Hanson's positive view of Kerensky and his negative portrayal of the Tsar unfortunate, I chalked it up to the limited english resources on the subject. Hanson enacted a very Stoylipin-esque plan on American soil, and it paid dividends.

The free subscribers have to go back. I’m sorry. They just have to.
I’m early but I can already recognize the stench of filthy free subscribers
Free subscribers will have free milk fliwing from every substack faucet
Ole Hanson would be a paid subscriber. Just saying
Those same commie bolshy agitators would be demanding free substack subscriptions, too.

Funny to see Amazon recommend a thoughtful study like Jin alongside Wicked City and Demon City lol
You can have a brief glimpse of a Based future “as a treat.”

Hey MG - Can subscribers get a review of the 1994 college movie 'PCU' - might be a fun post considering what we're being bombarded with.
I'll bet those Bolshevik agents were all free subscribers.

I spent many years living in San Clemente on Ole Hanson Street.
