A big attack I’ve seen thrown at Abdul is that he has a very Muslim name. It’s true, and it sucks that we live in a time where he is taken seriously, but he should be taken seriously for the things he says, not for his Muslim name. It’s a good point to hold him accountable to what he says he will do, it’s all on tape, it’s right there. His name is already a turn off for many voters, there’s no need to make it a front and center issue.
I think we are in a historic position that if we get two terms of Vance allowing time policies that are currently being implemented to bear fruit, plus a continuation of America First policy we are in a whole different world. We have to play a perfect game from here on out.
I have no political sway other than my vote. I have no following nor do I have anything much useful to say other than; I want to leave the DSA/communists to die in a wasteland and hand feed them pain.
My old man went from dropping out of college to go kill reds in the early 60’s to attending Bernie and AOC rallies now. His shift happened in 2020. He’s 85 has plenty of money and owns homes but wants that health care for free. I’m going to have to commit him for lack of discernment.

You’re strategy of pointing out how leftist policies make people’s lives worse pales in comparison to my strategy: dress up in historical costumes made in a Bangladeshi sweatshop and post more about how we need to retvrn to the McDonald’s playplace.
I recognize some of my own rhetoric in the mistakes you call out here. I lesson I've had to learn over and over and over, and continue to learn is to not assume that an argument is compelling to others just because it is compelling to me or, worse, because it is fun for me to say. I may only be a small voice in the world, but I'm going to do my best to make the case against communism in the most effective possible terms.
The safe cities task force is very impressive and should be implemented in as many red states as possible. I hope to see midterm ads showing off its success.
Listening to Stalins war from Sean McMeekin and the amount of times the USSR was able to get the better deal because of the other parties lack of action is maddening. I will add that other book of his you recommended to my list.
this is so important. so many people i know who are ostensibly right wing or conservative have no real idea how to even talk about combating commuinist/socialists.
I've found that a lot of boomers and gen x online are still living in the 90s and assume that the American Dream is still very much alive and well, because they have only experienced the horrors of DEI, housing market insanity and the effects of mass immigration through the eyes of their children and grandchildren. This causes them to think that the advice that the younger generations need is to toughen up and pull themselves up by their bootstraps because no one wants to admit that things were getting worse in many aspects of American life.
I feel like it's these same people who would assume that you could fight the DSA wing of the left with debates and lectures about how great capitalism is, because these generations actually did grow up in a world with market capitalism mostly intact in key areas like housing, healthcare, and the job market. They assume that's still mostly how it works. But it's not, so any argument about how the current system is best for giving people access to those goods and services will fall on deaf ears for anyone under the age of 45.
As you said, right now Republicans still haven't fixed all of these issues, but what they do have are the vibes. Vibes are arguably more important than being factually correct because it dictates how people respond to stressors and agitants. If the vibes of the current system are good enough, they will reluctantly defend it. If nothing changes for too long and vibes become bad, they will be that much more susceptible to far left agitprop and stand idly by when the current system gets dismantled.
I just hope we have enough time to turn things around. Midterms are anything but a done deal. The next 2 years are going to be extremely critical in setting up future wins for the right and we really cannot afford any distractions.
Most DSA candidates get through by gaming the primary system and mobilizing a small radical base to show up. That's how AOC and Mamdani pulled off their victories. The age of social media at least gives us the chance to fight back by replaying their own rhetoric against them. Don't let them pretend that anything they say is actually popular.
