I agree that the retard podcast right don't deserve to be back into the fold and the issues are not just disagreement on points but fundamentally unhinged, antagonistic and destructive, but I also think a lot of those in the audience are not as committed to the worst aspects of these people as we think they are.

In my day job I had a meeting with a vendor where we were talking over lunch, and he was talking about how he has softened on Muslims from having one or two middle class Muslims as customers watching Ana Kasparian and Candace Owens agree on issues and that the partisan lines we once thought mattered don't matter anymore, and he no longer likes Trump. He is a carnivore diet, retire into the woods with a small homestead type guy who has a charm when you know him well. These views are all easy-come so they should be easy-go and that's what I think a J.D. Vance conciliatory effort does. Vance doesn't say, "These things don't matter," he says, "You matter. Don't check out of politics." He didn't say, "The Epstein files are the worst thing ever or don't matter at all" but he said, "I cared about them and I thought it isn't weird to care about them."

This sort of attitude makes people used to feeling unheard feel heard and that is probably enough to talk a lot of people off the ledge. We see a lot more bad-faith, highly dedicated online people who don't deserve forgiveness or a place in politics, but most of the audience of unscrupulous commentators like Kelly, Owens, Carlson, etc. are just normal people who listen to a podcast while going on a call for work. I think its good politics.

If you had claimed to have written his remarks for him I would have believed you.

Many a mom is listening to and believing Candace Owens, and that makes me sad. The Retard Right is doing so much damage. We cannot let them have a place anymore. We must shut them down at every opportunity. Not even engage them in civility. They are psychotic and delusional. You cannot rationalize with someone who doesn't even understand reality. I'm not sure how you'll snap the mom's out of this one, but I hope it can be done soon.

I am reminded of Matthew 5:30. Great article MG.

Can’t wait to hear you talk about the Thing (1982 dir. John Carpenter)

In other news, my wife just got out of the hospital and can finally spackle all those holes in the wall from last time you ignored me. She’s really counting on you to deliver this time.

I really think JD Vance reads the Conundrum Cluster.

Something I always admired about Trump was his attention to loyalty at key moments. He can tolerate people’s ineptitude so long as they are loyal. But somehow this message has not gotten through to the PR team that proved this Vance appearance on Megyn Kelly’s show. We don’t need these empty talking heads, and we don’t need to forget what they did to Charlie Kirk’s widow. If anything, Vance should be emphasizing the contrast between Epstein’s behavior and the systematic decades-long sexual abuse and torture laid out in the recent British Rape Gang Report of 2026. There were 250,000+ native British girls savagely abused by overwhelmingly Pakistani Muslim men, and yet these RW “influencers” are hellbent on tying up Trump with false accusations. May a Trump/Lowe alliance break these RW traitors’ influence.

I think it helps neutralize MK in the upcoming elections, Vance has none of Trumps "baggage" and being conciliatory probably helps give the retard right detractors of Trumpism a way to save face when they inevitably want to return to the trough. After they return he needs to completely house-break them, however.

Vance has a unique opportunity to thread the needle of the presumptive heir to MAGA who will continue MAGA policies, while also being the "MAGA that should have been" to those currently disaffected.

Absolutely nailed it.

I feel very good about Vance’s chances in the 2028 Primary and General Elections. I do not feel good about the 2026 midterms in <5 months. There’s not enough time to kill the Retard Right and have voters develop new parasocial relationships that will GOTV in October and November. Charlie is dead.

I’m hoping this is a tactical move for the reasons I outlined and we can take them out behind the woodshed over Christmas. I can see a million ways this doesn’t work but it seems imperative to try if we don’t want to see the rest of Trump’s term be about Ro Khanna’s impeachment hearings.

the listeners of these podcasts are easily swayed. Kelly shouldnt be allowed back but many of her listeners can be guided back by JD's calm and convincing nature

Whenever I hear these people waffle on, I always come back to this quote. "The lights are on, but nobody's home."

We simply do not have to put up with these figures or entertain their ideas just because we agree on a few tertiary goals and minor details.
