I had made an effort to avoid contemporary political content on this Substack, an effort which gradually became less and less convincing.

In light of this, and as part of my never-ending campaign to provide more content to paid subscribers, I’ve decided to start mailbag episodes. Scott Greer over at Highly Respected does these and it seems like his subscribers really like them.

I’ll be taking questions on politics, news, high culture, any of the serious topics that our esteemed paid subscribers might be interested in. There will be a moratorium on edrama, gossip, personal stuff, etc.

Although mailbag episodes will be available to all paid subscribers. I’ll be limiting the ability to ask questions to members of the new Benevolent Patron (BP) tier. These noble souls are going above and beyond to support the podcast.

I know that on the storied list of paid subscribers there are billionaires, titans of industry and finance, internet celebrities, landed aristocrats, dynamo hackers, noted public intellectuals, and other conventionally attractive and sexually potent individuals who could easily command the modest sums required to keep me at the movie theater eating Dippin Dots.
