I love him, but Pat Buchanan's last run at president as a 3rd party showed me the dead end that path is. Today you don't see DSA going third party, they want to take over the party.

People on the right have little conception of political action besides voting, not voting or civil war; the right lacks an understanding of activism and organizing. It leads to a lot of nervous energy in very political people who feel they should be doing something beyond voting, but they have no idea what and so they just end up crazy and demoralized.
It's sort of a dead horse to just call these people crazy and dumb or cynical and its not very persuasive, you can't persuade people out of it, they need to be given a productive outlet for their energy in the form of activist organizations.
The right needs to learn how the left does it and adapt their methods for itself. All these podcasters should be forming their audience into fundraising networks, creating foundations to incubate activist organizations, forming activist schools/training centers and feeding their audience into that training to have them form disciplined local groups so that they can actually build power and shape the political ecology instead of dooming about the news of the day or learning that pandas are fake.
The best thing to read on left wing organizing methods is probably Roots to Power: A Manual for Grassroots Organizing by Lee Staples. It also help make sense of a lot of the bizarre things the left does and says, they are often practical methods for getting power and organizing rather than just crazy. You should read it and do commentaries on it. I found it very illuminating.
I think some people really want to make a grand moral stand but have zero instinct when it will be effective (Wrangel executing the rail worker) vs ineffectual flailing (Musk punching Bessent)
