Great article, as it was last time I read it. Some scattered thoughts:

It seems to me that normie minds are increasingly being mugged by twitter by proxy, via short form video content etc, which is somehow even dumber, conveys less actual meaning etc, and instills these sorts of empty signaling dispositions even more strongly and without even the pretense of discourse occurring.

I almost never use instagram of my own volition, but friends occasionally send me reels. Out of boredom/curiosity, I kept scrolling the other day---street interview clips about race mixing etc, some streamer calling some other streamer a jew, alex jones screaming "JEW JEW JEW" with caption along the lines of "me when my family asks my opinion on <political topic> at thanksgiving", etc. Not even the pretense of discourse/reasoning/potential for nuance, literally just "LOOK AT THIS BASED THING".

Seeing twitter feeds of generally normie friends is funny---it is very often this sort of lowest common denominator based slogan signaling intermixed with sports memes and so on.

For many people of this sort, this content is their entire concept of "politics". It's often the same with sports, frankly---discussion of sports is the mutual displaying of memes about this player being fruity etc. Total slopification---if I admit that I'm "right-wing", this is interpreted as me saying "i watch hours of jew-centric instagram reels per day", not that I am interested in boring things (policy details, strategy, reasons that events occurred, etc) and hold various opinions on these things.

It seems like not a good thing to let online discourse be dominated by schizo retards, but it doesn’t seem productive to participate either

I don't this is a new split, is really a carry over from the beginning of the 2000s. George Bush ran a great experiment and discovered that the Arabs are NOT like the 1800s Indians. The Arabs will not become civilized like the Indians did, they demand a sultan and none of this freedom business. The John Bolton branch of the neo cons has never been able to figure out how to deal with that fact. They continue to search for some way to use force to make them behave: "Israel no matter what it does" is really just another attempt to give the Arabs a structure where they will behave. The Israelis as Sultan using whatever force is required to make the Arabs behave. But, they won't, no matter how much force the Israelis use.

Yes, we have military might but we cannot civilize the Arabs if we conquer: they will remain barbarians no matter how much blood, how much force how much money, we apply. They remain what they have always been, people with a need for a supreme ruler of their own. The split in the right will only end when the neo cons accept the fact that they can't change the Arabs. The neo cons claim to worry about white nationalism and Nick Fuentes but all that is really an attempt to sweep away those who oppose the neo cons continued to use force to make other people behave.
