This reminds me of the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack. One of the best.

This is as good a time as any to tell this story: When Trump was shot I was following the action on twitter, with a bit of delay, i.e. not live but video posted within minutes. When Trump was about to be stood up and moved I distinctly heard him say "I'm not going to let them beat me." Apparently that never actually happened, or it was not audible to anyone else. The veil is not thin: there is no veil.

(Master Chief wading waist deep into the lake Delta Halo of Halo 2’s“Regret” mission)

“As I went down in the river to pray

Studying about that good old way

And who shall wear the robe and crown

Good Lord, show me the way!

O brothers let's go down

Let's go down, come on down

Come on brothers let's go down

Down in the river to pray.”

Just finished my 2nd viewing of "In the Electric Mist" starring Tommy Lee Jones. Movie adaptation of a book called "In the Electric Mist with Confederate Dead". Jones plays a bayou detective solving the murder of a prostitute in the present and a racially motivated murder he witnessed back in the 60's. Race things aside, it's a good story of this worldly detective tangling with scumbag Hollywood types in post-Katrina Louisiana. All the while, Tommy Lee Jones is getting assistance from essentially the ghost of Confederate General John Bell Hood. Sounds crazy, but very good. Ending is a little abrupt but definitely worth a watch, and a very prescient/timeless theme. (You Should Definitely Do A Review)

"Venal and evil men are destroying the world you were born in. It's us against them, my good friend. Don't compromise your principles or abandon your cause." - the ghost of John Bell Hood.

Happy Easter.

Tommy Lee Jones is a fascinating actor with a lot of depth. His stern appearance makes one think he’s going to be the bad guy, but then his great laugh and sometimes carefree nature can make a compelling protagonist. I have yet to see a movie in which I thought he did poorly. Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll watch it later. Trailer looks amazing.

I've only seen the American cut, but I've heard its quite inferior to the version released in Europe. Either way I liked it.
