Lying is so bad

I have a really hard time gauging how much of this stuff actually reaches the average person. Are there that many people paying attention to Tucker? How many even know who the hell Auron is?

I know at least that a lot of people I meet who are young and online complain about stuff that isn't real all the time. The problem is the broader culture/discourse that's been created, Carlson is just the biggest figure. It's kind of shorthand or on the back of everyone's mind and it's just divorced from reality. Like people who only interact with "the sphere" casually genuinely believe immigration has been abandoned even though that's not the case at all.

Yes, this is a huge problem. I know multiple guys in mid 30s who have checked out because they think “Trump isn’t doing anything he promised”

They will be easily duped into socialist, third world talking points later on, and this will become a problem when the boomers really start dying off and not voting.

I can’t argue with that, unfortunately. Everyone seems to be insane and retarded now, and there doesn’t appear to be any obvious solutions.

It doesn’t help, and it’s so counterproductive. I’m not sure you see as much self-inflicted damage in the left wing media. But I agree with your larger point — in normieland, gas prices are killer. You can argue $4/gallon in 2026 isn’t the same as $4 in 2008, but it doesn’t go anywhere. I don’t think people care about the war, but they care a lot about gas prices.

It's crazy how much better the left wing is at message discipline.

Since I got off twitter this has been my only news source.

Most public political discourse is dismaying. Enough intel from the internecine warfare within the right wing has reached liberals that when they freak out about Christian Nationalism or whatever explaining the conflict is almost self-defeating. How do you even reach people who worship Heather Cox Richardson and Jon Stewart when there are a dozen little factions giving them anti-MAGA material daily?

We have a large grifter culture on the right. We need to do a Buckley and purge it.

Iran and Epstein were CRITICAL failures by the Trump administration.

Particularly in the case of Epstein, it may seem unfair to you that the political price Trump is paying is so high, but it was obvious to me and others that the price would be devastating as Bondi and Trump started by botching, then switched to denying and covering up, then went back to botching the Epstein issue.

IT BROKE A BOND OF TRUST.

On immigration: you are being somewhat dishonest. Trump's early rhetoric on H1B was very disappointing to his staunchest supporters. Trump let in more H1B in July 2025 than Biden allowed in 11 of 12 months of 2024!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (https://www.cato.org/blog/trump-has-cut-legal-immigration-more-illegal-immigration)

By LATE in the year 2025, Trump did start making meaningful cuts in H1B. I'll give him credit for that. But immigration patriots had a lot of reason to be disappointed with Trump early in his administration.

The Iran war was a backbreaker. Done for Israel. Devastating to our economy at the very moment we were starting to overcome the (necessary) pain of the tariffs. It was a decision of a man who cared more about Israel's security and expansion than America's future.

We need to overtly bully, cuss out, and ridicule anyone who tolerates evil people sabotaging the right. Democrats are openly talking about putting our guys in jail and fundamentally restructuring the government. I expect for Communists to act like that, but when you side with our enemies during the time it is most important to win, you are scum. Tolerating you as misguided but on our side, is something we can't do anymore.

Auron knows better and does it anyway.

I'm probably being naïve, but I don't believe Auron MacIntyre is a bad actor on the right. I think he is being short sighted and wrong, and that is forcing him to take increasingly bad positions. At least he has open discussions with people like Titus Techera and thus is willing to entertain a different outlook. It'll be an easier road if we can get people like him and his audience back on board. It is easy to get trapped into doom and gloom and hysteria. The best cure is more winning.
