Well, it’s a wrap. The first week of this Substack is officially in the books. Thank you very much to everyone who subscribed, whether or free or paid. Below are this week’s articles. In the future I’ll keep a rolling list of all articles at the bottom of these roundups just to act as an index for any new subscribers.
Despite my botching of the launch, I’m very happy with how things have gone so far. There are about 2000 subscribers total. My hope is to grow that number steadily over the next year. That means a lot of new content. I’m in a bit of a manic phase right now so I’m hoping to be able to keep the current high tempo up for at least a little while. Please, feel free to share any clip of any article you want to, paid or unpaid. The primary goal right now is increasing the reach of the Substack. Any discussion is helpful. If you like an article, please share the link with friends and family. Threaten people if you have to.
Articles soon to come for paid subscribers include coverage of the 1918 Seattle General Strike (put down by Mayor Ole Hanson, who will be getting a lot of attention over the next few months), the 1919 Boston Police Strike, the 1919 Centralia Massacre, thoughts on Post-Post-American Identity, a surprisingly controversial 1942 film on Andrew Johnson, and a little bit about the legendary Marshal Mannerheim. Extremely grateful to all the paid subscribers. More subs means more freedom and more time for articles. They really do help.
The members of the elite Patrician Ultraman Group (P. U. G.) subscription tier will be enjoying their first classic game night some time next month. It’s looking like Zombie Panic! Source will be the inaugural game. If you want to upgrade and join us, it’s only $15 more than the regular yearly subscription.

Hey CC, I really enjoyed your article on the spin-history of the Bonus March. Did you say once on Twitter that the alleged violence of the colonial regime of King Leopold II of Belgium was also spun? I'd love to read an article on that, or even if you know of anything to read, I'd love a recommendation.
You are an invaluable asset to all wolves like me.
