“umm, ackchyually, the communist only emptied six rounds into the unarmed man lying on the ground, not seven. Pretty problematic. Do better, Chud.”

Amazing how much of these stories have been completely memory-holed.

Are you a member of an Elk's Lodge, anon? Are you doing anything to make your community better? The one thing communists can't stand is when regular people make their communities better.

Incredible how even now there are people lying about this massacre and even making monuments to the man who killed the veterans in cold blood. It makes my blood boil that these men fought overseas and then had to storm unarmed a building under a hail of gunfire. But that’s the difference. Certain men are built to rise to the heroism required of the moment and others are made to cowardly shoot from fortified locations on unarmed marchers. Thanks for bringing this story to our attention!

Thank you for writing this. I'm a long time subscriber/follower and have bought several of your books.

My great grandfather was big in the American Legion up in Seattle and he actually served with Warren Grimm in Siberia and attended the University of Washington with him. I have a newspaper clipping stating he later attended Grimm's funeral the Saturday following the massacre. I have no proof but I have my suspicions he was also part of the posse rooting out commies.

My great grandfather later went on to have a political career in Washington in which he spent decades attacking communists. He gave several testimonies before HUAC against communism and was known to go after local communists in Washington, particularly some professors at UW. He was also instrumental in the development of the legion's "Americanism" campaign to fight communism.

This is important but forgotten history. Academic wokeness can be traced straight back to the people my great grandfather was going after. He had a lifelong hatred of leftists because he saw what the Bolshevik Revolution had wrought upon Russia firsthand. And he returned home from that fight to find it happening on his doorstep, literally killing his friends.

I've got his personal papers along with some artifacts and photos from this time in Siberia, including his Colt 1911 and uniform. I never got to meet him but he has been the greatest influence in my beliefs.

Finding out about this was what turned me off socialism and communism when I was near there during my time in the service.

One of my favorite articles that you've written. I found an original copy of Ole Hanson's "Americanism vs. Bolshevism" on Amazon for $25 recently; a total steal. Haven't had a chance to read it yet, but I am sure it will be great. Lothrop Stoddard's "The Revolt Against Civilization" is another good book on bolshevism from that time period. Sometimes you can find find reasonably priced copies of that on ebay, but it's also on the usual book pdf sites.

Payload Movie Review Demand Part #2: Q&A (1990) I find viewing this one in 2024 a profound example of how the Multicultural Utopia of the Progressive Left is a retarded pipe dream. While I’m sure this is not what Sidney Lumet intended when it was made it’s obvious viewing it today. Nick Nolte and Armand Assante are excellent as well.

‘Conservatives’ always seem to take the side against working classes and poor. When did any ‘conservative’ condemn the Ludlow massacre or Pinkerton pigs shooting down strikers at Ford plants? Never.

umm, there was no "Veteran's Day" in 1919. It was called Armistice Day, marking the end of WWI. It was renamed Veteran's Day during the Vietnam War cause Armistice Day was considered too pacifist.

If you wanna propagandize and warmonger, don't use lies. And no, neither Putin nor Russia are "communist".

Read the headline, that was enough. No, not all readers are idiots, as assumed.

The point is, you don't need false information in anti-communist propaganda. It will backfire.

So, I'm assuming this piece fits the genre of anti-communist propaganda, and the headline grabber spells that out. Am I correct in that assumption?
