I hope you have time to look at Rosa Luxemburg, & whether or not her supposed resistance to armed rebellion was tactical, or genuine. Was her leadership in the Berlin revolt reluctant, or bold?
I think she opposed open revolt because she thought they’d lose, & not because she wasn’t going to destroy organized religion & kill every banker & landlord she could get her hands on. For starters.
I think once it happened, then she was all in, because they would either win or the top echelons would be executed.
Her execution was preceded by being dragged from her hotel room, shot in the head and then dumped in the river, & not a trial, but the result was the same.
The interwar period is so interesting , especially in Germany. The T.V. show Babylon Berlin really caught my interests on what the Left was doing during that time around the world. It took me down a rabbit hole to the German 1848ers and their proto Marxist roots in America, and why that generation of German immigrants were so liberal compared to future and prior German immigrants waves

I just rejoined the paid subscribe club after a brief interlude of unemployment. Those Russian Revolution articles were fantastic. It's amazing how deadly disorganization can be. I feel like the best thing to do is make IRL friends who are prepared when things fall apart.
I also kind of hope you do a Royal Space Force podcast episode sometime. I've been eating up the clips you've posted and I really want to get some time to sit and watch it.
They only showed it a theaters near me for two days, no advertising for it what so ever. Of course it flopped and now no theaters near me execpt a showing at a film festival are playing part 2. I was able to watch part 1 online, but I totally missed out on the theater experience of good western, I feel robbed and sick.
I swear to God if you don't release new podcast episodes soon I'm going to mirror this entire 'stack and make it available to all the free subscribers. You've been warned!
Perfect allegory to the right wing movement in America. For example, when I was in high school I used to think I alone could fix the system. The more young folk I talk to the more I find they also have a similar sentiment.
As you were kind of getting at toward the end of this post; we must ultimately die to ourselves and live for what is good and true, this becomes the largest act of both rebellion and beauty in our American system today.
Payload Movie Review Demand Part #2: Q&A (1990) I find viewing this one in 2024 a profound example of how the Multicultural Utopia of the Progressive Left is a retarded pipe dream. While I’m sure this is not what Sidney Lumet intended when it was made it’s obvious viewing it today. Nick Nolte and Armand Assante are excellent as well.
You’re not even close to baseline.
German Civil War?!?!
Fantastic!

Looking forward to it!

I needed to look up the full exchange to get the necessary context.
