No one mentioned utopia. Merely stopping another Bolshevik Revolution isn't utopia. Most countries in most times manage to prevent that, indeed it was delayed in Russia by ~10 years.
Why are you here if you think it can't be stopped?
Thinking everything has a solution is utopian nonsense. Giving the authorities more power is asking for it to be used against you. That's just what the Bolsheviks did.
I'm here to add a little reality to peoples' foolishness and bad decisions. I know I have no control over what happens, but I want to be able to tell you I told you so when we're both in the gulag.
Everything does have a solution. But not likely to be finalized in this life.
I didn't say anything about giving authorities more power. If I had my way I'd abolish 90% of all federal agencies and lay off 90% of all federal employees. That'd go a long way to solving our problems.
I'm not going to a gulag. My whole family will have active passports and leave the county before it gets there. And we have a backup plan if all passports are suspended.
But America is the best place to live and I'm not going to hand it over to leftist lunatic Marxists without a fight. But the fight we give them should be the best we can - not something that is likely to fail. There are no guarantees.
By the way the Bolsheviks didn't have anywhere near 50% support - only 25% I read. They outsmarted & out-organized everyone. No reason they can't be stopped - but seems like it will take real leadership that is smart and wise tactically and strategically and can build coalitions. And don't do stupid stuff like open fire on protestors like the Czar did - that gave the Bolsheviks a lot of momentum.
They were super smart in some cases like recognizing Finnish independence immediately instead of clinging to more power. They focused their resources on winnable goals. We have to do the same. Focus on secure elections first - go all in on that. If Russia had secure elections there would have been no Bolshevik takeover.
There is always a solution.
Nonsense. That is utopian Pollyannish nonsense.
