This probably will not be a popular observation but in my many decades of life I've come to the conclusion that anyone who becomes instantly popular or hits the top of the charts....was deliberately positioned by those in power to do just that thing. I don't believe that Mr. Anthony's rise with a song on the System's Billboard 100 (rather than say YouTube) is organic and that for some reason it was planned. Not sure what the reason would be, perhaps providing a safety valve for working class conservative outrage, but I very much doubt that it's positioning is organic. People need to be wary of overnight sensations.....they usually take a while to concoct. Remember the song about "Old Shoe" from the movie "Wag the Dog"? ALWAYS BE SKEPTICAL.

This crab bucket mentality is a great way to ensure your movement never gets anywhere.

Regardless of the merits of the song, because there are many wonderful artists who are never heard on a mass scale.....how does an unknown musician get a song on the Billboard 100 today without having an "in"? What are the mechanics of that? Who heard of this song or this artist before this placement ever happened?
