"Whole Foods and bad tattoo land" do you mean Portland? If so hit me up I'll buy you a beer.
I agree everything points to him being replaced. The only thing that might stop it is some sort of rules or decorum, they literally cheat in general elections they don't care about that, or Biden's ambitions (more realistically Jill's) and he's a feeble old man that no one (except the CIA) really likes.
Kind of surprised how much Dems have fubar’d this. On second thought not really. Maybe not quit the same electricity of 2016 but definitely more than 2020.
One thing I’m concerned about is if trump couldn’t stop the cheating while he was in office, what’s going to stop it when he’s out of office? I know it’s a threshold they barely managed to pull off in 20 but we’re about to basically not have a dem candidate effectively.
Basically the messaging has to be get your vote in anyway possible. Last time a lot of emphasis was placed on in person voting for Trump supporters. This time around it has to be about volume. If you can get there in person, great. Otherwise get your vote in anyway possible. From a fraud standpoint, so much of this comes down to state and local level officials so it’s kind of irrelevant if Trump is actually in office. Local GOPs will have to step up.
True there is no going back but it’s not over. The whole draw of the Mystery Grove / Conundrum Cluster project is that against the odds people can still make a difference.
Of all the people the Dems could get to play-act as President, why did they ever go with the headless diarrhea chicken? Like, how important is Biden’s name on the checks?
I think it goes back to what Thomas777 talks about. How the leadership caste is very similar to the soviets in the 80s-90s. Completely senile and out of touch. Not serious people.
The only current legal case that’s still alive after the SCOTUS ruling is NY and even that one’s in jeopardy (the charges involve official acts as President and with the ruling Trump can’t be charged, there is also a juror contention issue. The case could end up being thrown out) SCOTUS could have gone further in the ruling but they seem to be splitting the baby recently political with their decisions (mostly because of Barrett). If the DC, GA & FLA cases continue they will be struck down by SCOTUS and the judges ruling over them would be at risk for disbarment and possible prosecution themselves (the obstruction of justice statue was overturned).
BREAKING: “Trump classified docs case likely to be dismissed due to new Supreme Court presidential immunity ruling, and Justice Thomas concurrence that Jack Smith's appointment was unconstitutional.”
I mean, any opportunity to put deadbeats like free subscribers in their place should be taken.
I'm beginning to think that Kamala was selected to put the Dems in a position where they really can't remove Biden, but it's desperate enough that the DNC just might bite the bullet and go for a completely new ticket like Newsom-Whitmer. The way these successions typically go, choosing anybody but Kamala as the nominee would be such a break with tradition that it would distract from the campaign. For the Dems to have a prayer, though, they have to get rid of both Biden and Kamala.
Hamala Karens could be the first "anti-candidate" where running her ensures the other guy wins. They'll run Joe and the dems will try and pitch their support behind him and ultimately energize the right wing to vote him out. It'll be tight but trust the plan.
I liked Portland, was a bit demoralized by junkies shooting up on the waterfront in broad daylight last time I was there, though they seemed relatively harmless.
I’m hearing that Portland and Oregon in general are cleaning up their acts. Real “Pool’s Closed due to Fent” vibes now. Oregon has recriminalized (I love how autocorrect wants me to default to “decriminalize” as if making something a crime again is unheard of) hard drugs with a new law March 2024 that undoes key parts of “Measure 110.” I’m also getting reports that the White Army in the area has a new commander by the name of General Pyotr Conundrum Wrangel, so maybe you’re coming in on the white horse at the right time to settle these things. Good luck!
I originally thought he meant Austin, TX by “land of Whole Foods.” These are all basically the same town throughout the US and you can add Vancouver to that list also. But Maine has the huge benefit of low crime and low diversity.
I liked Portland ME the one time I visited it. Pretty hipsterish, but what comes with that subculture are good bars and restaurants and a pleasant urban lifestyle. It a good size for a city to be and there is always the hope that the cruel winters will keep most of the diversity out and maybe drive what’s there to go elsewhere.
I can't wait for the The Bikeriders post. I have been a fan of Lucero for years and that is one of their best songs that isn't explicitly about whiskey, women, and heartache. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIQbPZXj51E
The image of the Left as this monolithic unstoppable Borg, which they love to project, is shattered. There are factions, and they are increasingly at each other's throats. October 7 changed everything. Also, Trump was a genius to accept the debate without regard to conditions.
I think even the predictions of the (self-styled) professionals are worth little since we are in uncharted territory. I have no idea what will happen with Joe, but it is important to keep in mind that his desires about his candidacy matter only a little more than mine. Also, if Kamala is the chosen one, it is a worse choice than Joe, because she will be even a greater national embarrassment, as everyone knows. I don’t know what the consequences of a Kamala presidency would be, but certainly nothing good. For that reason, I think Joe stays because the election is so soon. Then they can get rid of him later as being unable to perform his duties as president as time allows. In any event, I agree with you that the election will be close. We are just that fucked up.
Of course that still leaves Kamala as president. I don’t know how they get rid of her … legally, I mean. I simply can’t imagine the stupid Dems are that stupid.
the Last couple weeks i started to know how a free subscriber fells. As a wretched creature like gollum after he lost the ring. Once known the glory of the ring (free episodes) now always searching for more gobbling up the crumbs on the prawl for more. But getting hit and kicked away when he gets closer after listening to the first free minutes and getting verbally beaten down.
Let the hate flow through you Mystery Grove

The “cheating” was mail in voting. There’s no going back.

Once again I am glad I skipped this and watched a movie instead
All he had to do was say, “Listen, fat,” and then drop the mic. But no, now it’s as Joever as it always has been for Free Subscrivers.

Playing Cyberpunk 2077 currently. I'm hooked.

You left New England?
No I just moved to Portland, the carriage house was a little too remote and I think I was crowding my brother/his family.
Maine is so nice. Love Damaraiscotta.

I haven’t been up to Portland in at least 15 years but I remember it being nice like the rest of coastal NE. About 3 hours from where I am in CT.

Portland, Maine or Oregon? Whole Foods and bad tattoos fits PDX for sure but I've never actually been to Portland, ME.

Mr. E, when will you be doing the podcast episode on Jeremiah Johnson with Robert Redford? I need to know.
