Happy Memorial Day!
Another very productive week in the books. If you’re looking for a veteran-themed podcast episode, check out this one on the only good movie ever made about the Afghanistan War.
The highlight (for me) was the completion of the trilogy of episodes on the Fallout franchise. These have been the most successful episodes in the podcast’s history, you can check them out below:
Ep33: The new Fallout TV show is really, really, bad
Ep35: The differences between Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 are a little too relevant to today's problems
Ep36: Why exactly has Fallout: New Vegas stuck around for so long?
After that we had two short literature/trivia posts. The first was the ending of Charles Willeford’s “I was Searching for a Street,” a book that I love and that far more people should read. After that there was the story of the Dicta Boelcke, a list of rules/principles laid out for German WWI fighter pilots that offers surprisingly good advice, applicable in a bunch of other situations.
Last but not least, there was the long-requested review of A Perfect World (1993). Cognitive elite paid subscribers gangstalked, threatened, and harassed me for months, demanding content on this largely-forgotten Clint Eastwood movie. I reluctantly complied. The episode covers not just the movie, but also the aesthetics of the early ‘90s, the 1994 Crime Bill, the Waco Siege, and Ruby Ridge.
Alright, that’s all I’ve got. Enjoy the holiday! Please become a paid subscriber right now to gain access to all the paywalled content on this Substack. Ever subscriber really does make a difference in my life.

Payload Movie Review Demand Part #2: Q&A (1990) I find viewing this one in 2024 a profound example of how the Multicultural Utopia of the Progressive Left is a retarded pipe dream. While I’m sure this is not what Sidney Lumet intended when it was made it’s obvious viewing it today. Nick Nolte and Armand Assante are excellent as well.
I think an full episode on Waco or something similar would be cool
